Usa news I'll be honest, I have heard "Slainte", but had no idea what it means. I know I can not be the only one (I hope), so I wanted to tell you the meaning behind the word Slainte.

According to wikipedia.org, Slainte is widely used as a drinking toast in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man, literally translated as "health".

So while I'm toasting the day with green beer, wondering about the origin of corned beef and cabbage, and looking for shamrocks, I decided there are so many beautiful Irish celebrities I'd like to spend the day with.

Colin Farrell: He's handsome, he's a bit of a bad boy, and his Irish accent would have me hanging on his every word. And although he did not want green beer with my drink, I would leave him the designated driver.

Bono: He can sing my Irish songs and telling me all about his days in Ireland.

George Clooney: The thought of spending an entire day with George on any day is good enough for me. And I'll admit, I did not know he was Irish! Turns out the Oscar winner's Irish roots can be traced back to his paternal great-grandparents, who emigrated from Ireland to the U.S.

Conan O'Brien: He'd keep me laughing all day. This is the reason. I would like an entire day with him.

I'll leave you with "Slainte" and the Irish Blessing:
